About the Artist
Malee was born in the small town of San Vicente in the Pichincha province of Ecuador.
At a young age Malee Moves from the quite coastal plains of Ecuador to the cosmopolitan city of Tel
Aviv, Israel. Surrounded by vanguard artist, Novelists and diplomats, Malee spends the next ten years traveling between Israel, Palestine and Egypt, where she studied aspect of the middle eastern society, language,
art and culture.
Traveling to some of the most remote corners in the cradle of modern religion, Malee finds shelter in small villages and tiny tented camps – “My saviors of the ancient world”. It is during this time that Malee discovers her deep love for photography and what she calls “The Art of Creation”.
Driven by a desire to explore the wilderness, Malee moves to Africa, where the Savannah and its indigenous people “awakened the dormant talent within me”. Here she begins to practice her art in a new medium, painting the raw beauty of African nature.
Malee now lives with her husband in the Fort Lauderdale area.
